A brutal rogue-lite where every bullet counts. Thousands of enemies, unforgiving fights, and nonstop chaos—only the skilled will survive. Think you can handle the challenge?

About the Game:

Developed by an 18-year-old student, Bullet Heart is a rogue-lite shooter blending fast-paced combat with strategic passive builds. Inspired by Hollow Knight, Enter the Gungeon, and Vampire Survivors, it fuses bullet-hell action with roguelike progression for a unique experience.

Bullet Heart challenges you with battles against enemies and tough bosses. The game features a diverse arsenal of weapons, powerful abilities, and passive upgrades, giving you endless ways to approach each run. As you venture deeper, NPCs provide valuable support to help you overcome increasingly difficult challenges. With a mix of weapons, passives, and strategic choices, Bullet Heart keeps you coming back for more!

Key Features:

  • Fast Combat: Engage in intense shootouts and dodge enemy projectiles.

  • Varied Weapons: Explore a wide range of powerful weapons to suit your playstyle.

  • Challenging Bosses: Defeat tough bosses requiring quick reflexes and strategy.

  • Power-Ups: Collect passives and abilities to enhance your playstyle.

  • NPC Allies: Meet helpful NPCs offering buffs or challenges for added variety.

Development Timeline:

Hi, thanks for the game it looks hard but fun.

The game crashes when clicking on the gem icon tab in the settings, under the bosses entries.

When going out of level up menu, movement in a certain direction might be stuck it the key was still pressed before menu and until released and pressed again.

I also find that the base mouvement speed is really slowm so much I thought there was an issue with my keyboard. Makes it hard to survive in the beginning when enemis sprint at you

Improvment suggestions:

  • Make it possible to go to settings with P key instead of ESC. It's hard to hit ESC while still running away from enemies to equip power ups
  • Add short tutorial explaining amo, life and how to equip power ups

Other bugs I've encountered:

  • was unable to see pick up descriptions with mouse until I restarted the game. Happened after I was changing game resolution in the settings
  • Blackhole staff sound would continue to play even after game was lost and to the next game

Thank you so much for your comment! I really appreciate the feedback.

I’ll do my best to fix all the bugs as soon as possible in the upcoming big update.

Balancing movement speed has been one of the more challenging aspects for me. If it’s too fast at the start, you can outrun every enemy. That’s why I added a feature I love—movement speed gradually increases as time passes—which I think makes the game feel more dynamic and action-packed. However, I’ll keep an eye on it and make adjustments if needed.

I’m still figuring out the best way to introduce the tutorial and explain the controls without disrupting the game’s overall feel. I apologize if this caused any confusion or chaos during your experience.

For clarity, the ESC button opens the menu, where you can access settings and return to the main menu. To make navigation easier, the TAB button opens your inventory for equipping items, and the B button opens the bestiary and journal.

Once again, thank you for your comment! Feedback like this helps improve the game every day. If you come across any more bugs or have additional suggestions, feel free to share them.

Hi! I have issues while trying to install the game with WINE on macOS, using Heroic Launcher, WINE CrossOver 23.7.1.-1. The installer says:
Internal error: failed to expand shell folder constant "autopf"

Based on the info I found online, it looks like I am missing dependencies, but I am unsure what the dependencies are. I have not yet tried to install it on my Windows pc but I do not believe that it is relevant enough for me to care about that, considering I am trying to install it on my Mac. Please tell me what the dependencies are, thank you in advance.

Hello,

Thank you for reporting this issue! I’ll look into it as soon as possible. It seems like the error might be related to path resolution, and installing winbind could help if it’s not already installed.

Unfortunately, I don’t have a macOS device to test the installation beforehand, so I appreciate your understanding while I work on finding a solution.

Could you provide a screenshot or a video of the error when it occurs? If possible, feel free to send it on Discord.

I apologize for the inconvenience, and I’ll do my best to resolve this quickly so you can fully enjoy the game!
